Ship by New Year’s Eve

If you’re in the United States, there’s still time to get costumes, hats, noisemakers, masks, 2008 sunglasses and other favors in time for your New Year’s Eve party.

If you live on the East Coast, Midwest, or Southeast, you may get your costume in time if you choose Priority shipping by 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27. Priority mail packages usually arrive in 2 to 3 business days, but the post office doesn’t guarantee that time.

To guarantee shipment by New Year’s Eve for most locations in the U.S., order by 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, or Saturday, Dec. 29, depending on your location, and choose the U.S. Express shipping method. To check whether your location is a 1-day or 2-day destination, check the USPS website. Our zip code is 35401.

Yahoo Outages

If you’ve been trying unsuccessfully to use our checkout today (timing out, getting error messages), it’s because Yahoo Merchant Solutions (the server and checkout system we use for our store) has been experiencing massive outages. We’re not sure yet why this is happening or when it will be fixed, but Yahoo is frantically working on it!

Meanwhile, if you’d like to place an order, some orders have gone through the online checkout today, so you can come back every so often and try again. Or you can call us at (205) 349-3490 to place an order between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Central Standard Time. Or you can e-mail us at admin (at) candyapplecostumes.com. We’ll be checking our e-mail until late tonight and will get back to you with answers to your questions and requests asap.

We’ll work with you any way we can to get you what you need, and hopefully Yahoo will get this problem fixed very soon! Thank you for your patience and understanding.
